Welcome to Perth Rotary | Path of Hope Project
Path of Hope provides an opportunity for your Rotary club to partner with your local The Salvation Army service to support women and children escaping family violence.
This Rotary volunteer initiative invites Rotarians to engage their club in raising awareness of healthy relationships, highlighting the realities of family violence, and generating much-needed support and funds for The Salvation Army’s services and refuges in your own community.
With the backing of Rotary Path of Hope team and the wider Rotary network, this is a project your club can lead locally to make a direct and lasting impact.
1. Share the Path of Hope initiative with your Club President, get their approval.
2. Make contact with your local Salvation Army representative.
3. Arrange a meeting between your Club President (or representative) and the local Salvation Army representative to discuss their needs and explore how your club can provide the best support.
4. As a united team, begin with one agreed smaller project that builds trust and may leads to further initiatives directly addressing the needs of victims and survivors of family violence.
At Perth Rotary, where this project began, we have found this approach to be highly effective in strengthening our local community. Our goal is to promote peace in homes and help break the cycle of family violence.
By fostering trust and teamwork, we invite you to reach out with any questions. We are eager to share our journey and insights, with the aim of inspiring and supporting other Rotary clubs in their efforts to make a meaningful impact through family and domestic violence projects in their own communities.
Path of Hope has been privileged to deliver a wide range of initiatives in Western Australia, supporting women, children, and the wider community. Here are three groups of different projects we have achieved:
Physical improvements and Renovations, such as boutique refit, Playground Upgrades and Room Makeovers.
Direct support for women and children, including Kitchen and Evening kits, the Christmas Gift appeal, and fund raising.
Initiatives beyond the Refuge, such as Gala Events, The HOPE Report, The HOPE Internship Programme, and Treasure Quiz Hunts.
